Happy 1st Birthday Kody

Our little Kody Boy turns 1 year old tomorrow! (July 16th) Wow, that year went by fast. We're leaving on Trek tomorrow so we won't be here for his birthday.
He is such a cute little guy and we love him a bunch. He is so lovable, squeezable and huggable that we can't get enough of him. We wish they lived closer but we do enjoy the times we get to see them.
Have a Happy Birthday Kody! We love you lots and lots. See you soon!

Calie's Shower

My cute little niece Calie had a bridal shower in Taylorsville. It was so fun to be able to go to it. They live in Las Cruces so we don't get to see them very often. She's getting married in September in the Salt Lake Temple so that will be so nice to be able to go it.

Lucas wanted to touch the buffalo (not so sure!)

Happy July!

Reese wearing Gramps hat.
Rub a dub, dub - 3 kids in the tub!
Hope you are all having a fabulous July. Summertime is flying by way too fast. It's half way over and I don't want to think about it ending.
Last week we had Katie, Tawnya and the kids here. We had a great time. Didn't do a whole lot but we still had fun. Katie bought a new couch from LaZBoy.
Lucas stayed with us an extra day so we took him to the Honeyville Little Buckaroo Rodeo - which he slept through most of it on my lap. It was very hot so we were both soaked when he woke up.
We went to the annual Fireman's breakfast and the parade. Lucas thought it was great fun catching the candy.
Then we headed down to Spanish Fork to take the couch (and Lucas). We ended the day at Grace and Jim's with yummy food, family fun and fireworks.
We'll be heading to Martin's Cove next week for Trek. Then it's Family Reunions the next 3 weeks.

Boring Post

I haven't updated for a couple of weeks but there's not much to blog about. I don't have any new pictures or exciting news to share - This is about as exciting as it gets around here:
1. We got the cooler up and running.
2. Cleaned Jessica's room and put away all her High School "stuff" -
3. Jessica and I did a shift at the Brigham Tabernacle today. We had a man and his mom come
by and that was it. I got a lot of reading done and Jess was totally bored out of her mind!
4. Went to lunch with friends.
5. Talk to my girls on the phone
6. Vacuumed my car.
7. Made Jess get up and walk around the lake with me.
8. Water and weed the garden daily.
9. Making Trek menus
10. Went to the Ogden Temple
(For some cute pictures go to kids blogs - they are way more fun to look at and read)

Grama and Abby
It's been a while since I've posted but I've been on VACATION! My wonderful husband let me fly down (to Mesa) after my last day of work! I've had a lot of stressful things going on in my life and I needed to have a break. I haven't been able to come for this long of a time for a while so it's been a lot of fun to spend time with my some of my family.
Shara and my mom picked me up from the airport and took me to my mom and dad's. It was late so we needed to get to bed. I tended Abby for a couple of days while Shara had to work and we bonded great! She is so adorable and such a cute little personality. She is quite the little entertainer. I want to put her in my suitcase and take home with me - (I'll bring her back in August!)
John and Nyla were there for the first few days. It's always fun to be with my sisters wherever we are. Jeanie and I would run her errands while she rested! (j/k!) We tease her about being the "favorite" because mom is always saying "Nyla, go rest! They left Monday morning to head back to their home in Reserve, NM.
Jessica decided to fly down here Tuesday night. It was a surprise but a nice one! We were all glad she was able to come. I didn't have near as many phone calls with her down there! I think she just wanted Filiberto's Rolled Tacos - she loves them.
We had a "Girls Night Out" one evening and went to Chili's. There were 10 of us that went. It's always so fun to catch up on everyone and their families.
We've also been busy helping AC and Shara paint their new home and get ready to move in! It's a beautiful home and is looking very nice with the paint job. I think they'll be a very happy little family there.
Lynsee gave us a facial wax (eyebrows, above the lips (known as moustache's) - yes it "smarts" but not for long! (Haven't decided to post the pictures or not!) Thanks Lynsee - you're awesome! She just graduated from High School and is off to EAC in Aug.
We always have some big project that needs done when we get together. We tied Lynsee a "college quilt" and had it on and off and even bound (by Jeanie and Mom) in two days! I helped Shara make a baby blanket for her friends and finished sewing her denim/checked quilt together (she started it many, many years ago).
It was such beautiful WARM weather. It usually hit 100+ most days but it still cooled down at night. I loved it! It was so nice to go for walks in the mornings or evenings.
I'm looking forward to August for my Dad's 80th Birthday party when we'll all be together again. My whole family will be going down to it so it will be great fun.
Thanks for the good time everyone - love and miss you all.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

ALWAYS No. 15! -
Aunt Nappy - (the favorite!)

Yes, she's about a foot taller than me! (and even taller now)

Can you believe our baby girl is 19 today?! Wow-wee how time flies! It seems like she was just a wee-one climbing on top of everything (like motor homes!), hoop shoots, raising her steers for the fair and High School sports teams.
She just finished her first year of college and is back home for the summer looking for a job. (send any suggestions her way!) It's nice to have her back home although I'm sure she'd rather be living somewhere else! We tend to like to know where she is and when she'll be home! (Rules of home life still exist - even at 19!)
Sports has always been a major part of Jessica's life and we sure enjoyed watching her play from the time she was very little. She played little league baseball with the boys because girls teams were boring!
Have a Happy Birthday - We love you lots.

Moving Day!

Grams bewildered look - (She had this quite often!)
Contemplating what to do next?!
Wahoo - one room empty! Elaine's happy about it!
Ellen taking a rest.
Gramps about to lose his britches! (Not sure what they're discussing -
probably the record player!)
Today was the day we started moving Grams and Gramps Nicholas out of their house! Wow, what a job. We just got home from loading more stuff and it doesn't look like we made much of a dent in their house! They have collected a lot of things over the years. (You can acquire alot in 94 years!) My advice to whoever reads this - start "de-junking" your houses NOW!
We got their bed, dressers, clothes, bathroom essentials, etc. moved so they can now call Nancy's house "Home". (Thanks Nancy!).
They have been very blessed to have stayed in their own home for all these years. Gramps is 94 and Grams is 89. We will miss having them close by - not being able to stop on our way home from work - but they are not too far away.
Here's some pictures from the big day (aren't you glad you're on a mission Anne and Roy!!!).
