Summer #5

July 24 – 27 Wight Reunion

The Wight Reunion was held at the Little Bear River Resort in Paradise, UT.  It started off with a Nascar Race (the WIGHT Way) for the kids.  They each made a car out of a box.  Each “pit crew” had to make a sign for them to pull into their pit to change their tires (shoes), wash their windshield (goggles or glasses) and fill up (eat m&m’s). 

Dax and Bronson were in the same heat.  Poor little B got knocked down so I had to help him keep going!  Reese and Abby were speed demons!  Reese won her heat with Abby right behind her.  They all had fun and rewarded with a popsicle at the end!  

This swing is the best babysitter there is!  Reese and Abby spent alot of time waiting in line for their turn!  They loved it.

We spent one day at the Bear Bottoms Waterslide.  All the kids had a blast.  There are always alot of fun activities for the kids to do.  The Wight Family Follies are always so fun.  I got to babysit while Nappy and Shara participated!    It was so fun to have some of the kids come this year.  It’s hard to make it to all the reunions every year so we loved it this year!

Summer #4

July 18th – 23rd

Tawnya, Reese, Bronson and Kody arrived on the 18th.  Valentines, Nappy and Calls arrived on the 19th.  It was PARTY TIME! 

Dress ups, dirty ditch water fun, and holding Baby Navy started out our fun!

A yummy smoked pork dinner for the July birthdays (Kody, Daxton, and Hadley).  A ride on Vic and a bath in Grams sink. 

…and exhausted cousins!  (Not sure how Reese and Dax could sleep like this!)

Our last outing together was Pizza Picnic at the Park!  Fun time!

Little Navy was blessed on Sunday at our house after church.  Dennis, Diane, Wendy and her kids and other members of the Call family were able to join us also!  Again, I didn’t get any pictures of the day – I was too busy with dinner prep!. (I’ll add pictures when I get some from Shara).   Navy looked adorable and given a beautiful blessing by her dad.  It was a wonderful Sabbath Day!

The Valentines headed home on the 24th while the rest of us headed to the Wight Reunion.  (They had another reunion to go to.)  We had such a grand time being all together.  It’s hectic and chaotic at times but lots of memories are always made!

Summer #3

July 3-11, 2013

July was going to be another busy month with lots of family visits!   The Valentines and Keslers came up for the 4th of July festivities.  We went to the North Shore Aquatic Center in North Ogden and had a picnic and alot of fun.  (I forgot to take my camera.)   Sheridan, Torrie and family came on the 5th.  We love to have them come visit!  Cole was baptized on Saturday in our Stake Center.  He’s such a handsome little guy!  After his baptism we went down to Trevor and Summer’s wedding BBQ at Grace and Jim’s.  Cute couple!   My kids went on to their homes that evening.  We kept Lucas and Ryker with us for a few more days.  The Nicholas’ left Monday morning for California.  So sad to see them go.   (I totally forgot to take any pictures of all these events!)  I’ll have to steal some from Torrie and my girls. 

Summer #2

June 20-23, 2013

Mother/Daughter Weekend in St. George.  Katie, Jessica were able to join me this trip.  We sure missed Shara and Tawnya. 

Eating is always one of the main events!   Costa Vida and Smashburger were first day hits.

St. George Temple excursion, trying out dirty drinks at Swig, shopping at Tuacahn market and resting in the shade at Tuacahn. 

Swimming, Synchronized Swimming, shopping (lots of it) and more eating were enjoyed by all who came.  There were about 15 of us plus 2 babies that went.  Thanks to Nancy who planned this event!  We had a great time and look forward to the next one! 

Summer #1

My summer break really began when I went down to help Shara after Navy was born.  I was down there for the first 3 weeks of summer break. 

Kody came and stayed with us the day after I got back from AZ for a few days. 

We got matching shirts from Old Navy and visited Grandma Great.

Riding Vic is probably his most very favorite thing to do!  Poor old horse is getting old.
