Sisters Weekend

We enjoyed another fun-filled Sisters Weekend in St. George. 

Of course we did lots of shopping, lots of returning the things we bought, and lots of eating delicious food!  

Went to Sacrament Meeting Sunday morning then headed home.  We always have a great time and look forward to the next one!

…and now summer is over and my blog is caught up!   School starts Aug. 27th and it’s back to work – darn!

Aug. 8th – 11th

Couples Reunion and Bell’s Cabin in Mt. Pleasant, UT

We had a fabulous time at the Couples Reunion this year.  Thanks to Nancy for all the planning.  Games, Food, Manti Temple Excusion, Amazing Race, Wildlife Watching, and lots of visiting.  

 

Summer #8

“Stand Ye in Holy Places” – Girls Camp 2013

August 5th-7th at Maple Hills Campground in Mantua.

Arriving at camp – what a great bunch of Young Women we have!  Our camp leaders – Lori and Lindsey put so much time and effort into making this camp awesome.

Good times, good food and a whole lot of fun!  Already looking forward to next year! 

Summer #7

July 30th –Aug. 2nd

We went to the Kesler’s for our next stop.  Oh what fun it is on the ranch! 

Riding lessons on  “Diesel” was pretty fun.  (but the funniest was Daxton being chased with Landon’s remote control car! – so funny!) 

We headed out the next morning for Mesa.  The first 1/2 (6 hours) were pretty good.  We stopped in St. George for Navy to eat and gas the car.  Abby threw up at “In and Out” (how appropriately named!) in Las Vegas.  Stopped before Kingman,  in Kingman, between Kingman and Wickenburg, Wickenburg and on to Mesa.  13 hours later we made it!  The poor kids were so done with traveling!  (Next time we’ll take it in 2 days!)

I stayed with my Mom one night and helped her with errands and things the next day.  She wasn’t feeling real great.  (Found out later she had a UTI).  Then stayed the next night at Shara’s to catch an early flight back on Friday!  So glad I was able to spend so much time with my kids and grands this summer!  Sad to see it end.  Love them to pieces. 

Summer #6

   July 29th

Aaron had to fly back to AZ so I got to ride back with Shara and the kids.   We went to Katie’s to celebrate Hadley’s 2nd birthday and stayed overnight with them.

Katie has a sweet little neighbor lady who let them use her pool for Hadley’s party.  It was a little chilly that evening so I chose to sit out with Navy!  The kids had fun!

Then it was time for presents, cake and ice cream!  (even if it’s pretend!) 

Can’t believe the little munchkin is already 2!  She’s such a cutie and loves her new little kitchen to cook pizza and ice cream!  Love you Hadley Kate! 

Summer #5

July 24 – 27 Wight Reunion

The Wight Reunion was held at the Little Bear River Resort in Paradise, UT.  It started off with a Nascar Race (the WIGHT Way) for the kids.  They each made a car out of a box.  Each “pit crew” had to make a sign for them to pull into their pit to change their tires (shoes), wash their windshield (goggles or glasses) and fill up (eat m&m’s). 

Dax and Bronson were in the same heat.  Poor little B got knocked down so I had to help him keep going!  Reese and Abby were speed demons!  Reese won her heat with Abby right behind her.  They all had fun and rewarded with a popsicle at the end!  

This swing is the best babysitter there is!  Reese and Abby spent alot of time waiting in line for their turn!  They loved it.

We spent one day at the Bear Bottoms Waterslide.  All the kids had a blast.  There are always alot of fun activities for the kids to do.  The Wight Family Follies are always so fun.  I got to babysit while Nappy and Shara participated!    It was so fun to have some of the kids come this year.  It’s hard to make it to all the reunions every year so we loved it this year!
