BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

That's how our life has been the past while and continues to be that way! We had a great Memorial Day Weekend. Katie, Jed and Lucas were able to come up and spend the weekend. It's always so fun to have the kids come home. We had a BBQ at our house yesterday with family members. Always fun to get together. Jessica spoke in Church Sunday as it was "Senior Day". They always get to speak right before graduation. There were 8 of them and they all did a great job - especially Jess! All of their talks were about their Seminary experiences. All 8 of them graduated last Thursday night from Seminary. They are a good bunch of kids.
Tomorrow is her "official" last day of High School. Hard to believe it's finally here. Katie took pictures of her in her cap and gown - very cute as you can see! She'll graduate Thursday night and then it's off to Boston for Shara's graduation on Saturday. She graduates from UMASS with her RN - finally! She's worked hard. We are so excited to go see her and AC. They just got back from Japan yesterday so hopefully they'll be rested up. (I'll post pictures of Shara when we get there!)
Congratulations Nappy and Shara - we're so very proud of you!

Happy 18th Birthday Baby Girl

Today is my baby's 18th birthday! Hard to believe. Happy Birthday Jessica Dawn! Love you so much. Lots of exciting things are happening in her life right now - seminary graduation, high school graduation, getting ready for college, job hunting, etc., etc., etc. It's been great fun watching her grow up through the years. We attended her last softball banquet last night. Coach Bingham told us what a delight she has been. Sports has been a huge part of her life and I'm sure she'll continue to play all she can (she started a co-ed league tonight!).

STATE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

Lucas "watching" Nappy play ball!
(In Hurricane - playing North Sanpete)

Wow! It's hard to believe Jess has played her last game as a Bear River Bear! It was the state softball tournament in Spanish Fork this past weekend. We played Hurricane Thursday and lost by 1 in the 9th inning - heart breaker. The girls were just so nervous in that game. We had to play again right after that and beat Uintah 5-3.
Friday was a huge day - 3 big games - Union, (11-0), Juan Diego (9-3), and Canyon View (4-2). The girls played so well that day. (Juan Diego is ranked #2 in the state and Canyon View beat us earlier in the season). That put us up against Hurricane again on Saturday to get to the final. We ended up losing 2-3 - bigger heartbreaker! We had beat Hurricane (10-4) earlier in the season but just couldn't get past them down there. We took 3rd place which isn't too shabby in the state tournament.
Lots of tears were shed as it came to a close for those Senior girls and their teammates (and parents!).
Katie and Jed live close to the ball park so that was nice to stay with them. Lucas had about had it with ball games by the end! He was a very good boy most of the time.

MOTHERS DAY

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! I just got off the phone with my mom who is the best of the best! She has been the perfect example of what a mother should be.
Also, a very happy Mother's Day to my mother in law - who has been very good to me - to my girls - who have made being a mother so worthwhile , and made me a "Grandma!"- to my Clouse sisters, Melanie, Nyla, Jeanie, and Shelley and my Nicholas sisters - Wanda, Anne, Elaine, Grace, Ellen and Nancy. I love you all and hope you have a very happy, relaxing day - (yeah right!)

"Last" Days

Doing her thing on 1st! ("Last" trip to St. George!)
Playing North Sanpete in Hurricane - (we won 5-0).
We had to go to St. George Friday for the first round of
state. We picked up Tawnya and headed down. We played
one game on Saturday. (That's a long way to go for one game
but it was worth the win - (although it's being contested by
North Sanpete). It was too hot to have to play again.

Nappy at the bat" - (Last home game)

Coaches, Seniors, and Parents

Senior Softball Day!

Jamie, Nappy and Erica - These are the seniors on the softball team. ( Tara is also a senior but she broke her hand during the season). This is at the "last" home softball game. It was an easy win (20-0). Jess got a home run (a few errors on the other team helped out!) her "last" at bat. We're experiencing a lot of "lasts" this time of year with Nappy graduating and finishing up her high school sports career. Bittersweet!

DONE!

These are my dear friends Debbie and Lisa. They have held my hand through every quilt I have ever made! This is the last of the "Senior" quilts we had to do. Thanks so much ladies -love you lots!

It's a Girl and a?

Good news this week! Shara and AC found out Monday that their baby is a girl! I guess she gets the pink blankets that I've made! We also found out that Tawnya and Landon are going to get a baby (not sure what color to use yet). When it rains it pours babies!!! Christmas will be so fun with three new babies and Lucas.
The Laurels came in to Relief Society today. Jessica announced (for the good news minute) that "my whole family is pregnant!" They all looked at me and laughed - I quickly clarified - "her sisters are all expecting."

Happy Birthday Nyla

This was taken in March of Nyla with our mom and dad.
This is Nyla and her daughters: Amy, Jennifer, Baby Brooke, Camilee and Marsha. She has one more daughter, Allison, attending BYU and a son , Michael, ready to go on a mission.

Today is my wonderful sister Nyla's birthday. She is five years older than me. She lives in Duncan, AZ but will soon be moving to Reserve, NM. She is such an amazing sister, daughter, mom, grandma, wife, friend, etc., etc. I love to spend time with her and my other sisters. We have such a good time when we get together. My girls think Aunt Nyla is so funny. We laugh a lot when we're all together. We were able to spend a few days together in March while visiting our mom and dad in Mesa. I was able to see most of her family at Marsha's baby's blessing while I was there.
Have a very happy birthday -(I called yesterday and you weren't home - I called tonight and it was busy!) Thanks for being such a good example and almost perfect sister! I love you alot.
