B's

President Hinckley passed away Sunday evening, January 27th, 2008. He was 97 years old! What a great prophet. I love the talk that he gave about the B's. One of my favorites!
"They are B's that I believe will make your life better, fuller and more satisfying. They are the B's that I have come to believe through all these years, form a template for success-- for anyone's success.
Be GRATEFUL
Be SMART
Be INVOLVED
Be CLEAN
Be TRUE
Be POSITIVE
Be HUMBLE
Be STILL
Be PRAYERFUL
They are nine B's, nine suggestions gleaned from more than nine decades of living, that will help you achieve happiness and success." --President Gordon B. Hinckley
He and his sweet wife certainly lived their lives by them! What great examples they were.
(I recommend the book "Way to Be! for more on the B's!)

Happy Birthday Landon

Happy Birthday to our son in law Landon. We hope you have a great birthday. He is such a good husband to Tawnya and daddy to little Reese. We're so glad he's a part of our family.

Quick Trip

I made a quick trip to see my Utah Valley Kids. I've been anxious to see Reese and how she's doing. She is perfectly fine! What a smiler she's become! You'd never know she was so sick! I went with Tawnya to her 2 month (can you believe she's 8 weeks old today!) check up today. She had 3 shots and did not like them. (Who would??)
Abby had her 4 month check up today - has an ear infection so no shots for her today. Hope she's feeling better soon. I know her mom and dad haven't got much sleep lately!
Kody had his 6 month check up - he's doing great and got his shots.
Lucas got to stay home with Aunt Nappy! Lucky boy!
I left after church yesterday (I had to speak or I would have gone earlier) and came back this afternoon. I thought I was going to have to stay another day - "HUGE SNOW STORM" - and I wasn't sure about driving home. Once I got to American Fork it was fine the rest of the way. The roads were clear and by the time I got home the sun was shining a little.
It was fun to see the kids and we learned how to play "FARKLE"!
I didn't take my camera - so no pictures.

Reese is Home!

This past week has been quite a week. Our little Reese ended up in the hospital with that nasty RSV illness. She was a sick little baby for a few days. They were finally able to bring her home Sunday night. I wanted to go down and see her but I knew the less people around the better. There was a segment on the news tonight about RSV and babies. Wicked stuff! We're so grateful for all your thoughts and prayers in her behalf. I'm hoping to go down and see her this weekend and help Tawnya get caught up on whatever she needs. (except school!)
We were also able to see Torrie and Ty for a few hours last weekend. She flew up for her sister's wedding and then stayed with us Friday night. She went with us to Grandpa's Birthday Breakfast (94 years old!) and then I took them back to the airport. Too short of a visit but so good to see her and the baby. We look forward to seeing them all this summer!

Tub, Toilet and Counter Top

Here's the requested update on the bathroom. Hopefully the sink faucets and mirror will come this week. We were very grateful to have the shower/tub and toilet working through the holidays. It's almost done!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm a little slow at getting around to it. We had such a great holiday with all the kids home. We managed to do a few family pictures before Christmas. With all the new babies we knew we couldn't go outside so we "borrowed" the Young's home. They have a beautiful staircase and area at the bottom that would fit us all. (Thanks Youngs!)

"I love mother - she loves me"...
Aaron, Shara and Abby (she was tired of pictures!)

Landon, Tawnya and Reese (she could care less!)
"We love Aunt Nappy - yes sir-ee"...
Katie and her cute boys - Jed, Lucas and Kody

"We are a Happy Family"!
