TAGGY'S

Shara was telling me about these "Taggy" things. I thought I'd try one - here's the finished product! It was kind of fun - kind of a pain. It's really, really soft on the fluffy side - I have little fuzzies all over my kitchen! The back is pink checked fleece (left over from a blanket I made for her baby.) Mark and Jessica are gone so I've been home alone and needed a project.

FUN WITH LUCAS

Lucas spent a few days with us this week. Katie hasn't been feeling well with her neck so I offered to give her a break! (It's nice having the summer off from work!) I took him back yesterday and came home today. I'll go back down as soon as Katie has her baby. Hopefully soon!

Helping Grandpa fix boots. Loves to help Grandpa whatever he's doing.
Washing my "new" truck from D.I.! He loved playing with the hose.

WILLOW PARK

Katie, Jed, Lucas, Mark, Jessi and I all went over to Willow Park in Logan Saturday afternoon. None of us had been there for a long time. They have improved the looks of it quite a bit but the same animals are there - birds, birds, and more birds! And some ducks and ducks. We did see a fox, bobcat, monkey, elk and other stuff. It was a fun little outing.

Trying to get a drink!
Dancing on the rocks.

Lucas checking out something - probably turtles that he couldn't see! Unless they moved he couldn't see them - they looked like rocks to him I think.

Having our picnic lunch at Willow Park.

STUFF

This has just been a week of busy-ness. Jessi left for the stake Priest and Laurel camp on Tuesday. She is the President of the girls and has been busy getting ready for that. Hopefully it's going well. Mark and I went up Tuesday evening to help with the dance. They wanted us to do some "fun" line dances, barn dance, etc. to get it started. I think they had fun. We were going to stay overnight but decided to come home - it's not that far - Camp Zarahemla - by Morgan. Very nice camp ground with lodge, cabins for the girls, showers, ampitheater, basketball court, etc. Nice place for a family reunion.
We've been working on our camp trailer getting it ready - Mark had to fix a couple broken pipes. (One reason we didn't stay overnight). I made strawberry jam last night while I was home alone - (Mark went back to the camp for Bishopric Night.) I just did one case but that was enough. We also put up our cooler - it's getting hot enough to use it in the afternoons. This house stays pretty cool until it gets in the 90's. I got up early and mowed the lawn today. I'm going to clean carpets after I get back from town. It's just been a good week to get a few things done.

AND NOW

I decided to just take some new pictures - so this is how it looks today - June 18, 2007. There's always lots to do an old home. We do enjoy living here. I've decided that the yard is WAY too big now. I finally planted 10 tomato plants. We haven't been home long enough to get our garden in so that's all we're doing. At least we'll get salsa made maybe!

HOME SWEET HOME

We were showing Grant and Muriel some old pictures of the house. Thought it would be fun to show some of them. I couldn't get the most recent one to post. - I'll try later. It took forever to get these on! It was built in 1869. Mark's family were all raised here. We've lived in it since 1992.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day! I hope they all have a wonderful day. I talked to my dad yesterday - what a great dad he is! He was a farmer/mail carrier and provided us with a wonderful childhood to look back on and cherish. He taught us to work hard right along with him - hoeing cotton, moving cows, burning ditches, hauling hay, picking rocks, etc., etc. We're so glad he's still with us - he gave us a scare a year ago! He's such a tender hearted man and I love him alot.
Also, to my father in law - Grant. He's 93 years old and still going strong - just slower! He's always been to kind and loving to me and my family. He has a great sense of humor and is full of sayings that we've come to love.
And to my husband Mark. With a house full of girls he's had to be very patient and just smile! He's been a great dad to his 4 daughters and a wonderful husband putting up with me. He's having a great time being a grandpa to Lucas and looks forward to the ones coming soon!
I'm very blessed to have these men in my life. Happy Fathers Day! Love you all very much.

BOSTON

These are some of the sights we were able to see in New England. It was so gorgeous back there. Green, green, green. You feel like you're in the forest everywhere you drive. There are so many trees. We really had a great time. Thanks AC and Shara for all you did. I can't wait to go back in three months! (when the baby comes). Love you guys. (Some of the pictures got out of order - don't know how that happened!)

Oops - out of order! Oh well. We took a tour of Fenway Park. Way fun to see it. Too bad there wasn't a game in town! Paul Revere's House
Waiting on the street for AC after eating at Giacomos
"Old Ironsides" - USS Constitution

Boston Red Sox's Fenway Park
Roof Deck Seats - $400.00 ticket (if you get drawn from the lottery)
Waiting for the game to start- j/k (they were out of town!)
Monster Seats - bring your mitts for these seats!
They do?

Eating Lunch in Boston

We went Whale Watching on the Yankee Freedom! It was a great day for whales - one of the best seasons they've had! We saw a lot of them that day. We'd see 4 come up out of the water at a time. I could never get a good picture. Check out Aaron's - I'm sure he has a lot of them! It was a bit chilly on the Atlantic!
Paul Revere's headstone. (Mother Goose is also buried in this cemetery.)
oops! (again)

Miniature Golfing at Kimball Farms.
Rockport, MA - cute little town .

Nothing but water

Goats are Parlee Farms
This is the most amazing miniature golf place ever! It was so fun! They have yummy ice cream shops that open in the summer - so we were always eating ice cream after our excursions. ( We even made some with Shara's new ice cream freezer - it was delicious!)

Parlee Farms - we went and picked strawberries! It's a fruit farm that you pick your own. Strawberries are on right now. Of course we had to have a strawberry shortcake with ice cream after! Yummy!

Touring the sites of Lowell. On the trolley going to Boots Cotton Mill.

All Aboard!

SHARA'S GRADUATION FROM UMASS

The day after Jessica graduated we flew to Boston for Shara's graduation. She graduated from UMASS Lowell as an RN! It was so fun to be there to see her graduate. Saturday was her pinning and Sunday was the graduation. I might add (as a very proud mother should) she was one (of the top two) that graduated summa cum laude in her class! Doesn't get much better than that! I didn't get any pictures of the graduation day - look at her blog and I'm sure there will be lots! AC took tons of pictures.

Shara getting her pin! She's an official "RN"!

Before the pinning ceremony (looking very cute!)

GRADUATION

Graduation Day! Jessica graduated from Bear River High on May 31st. These are just a few pictures of the day! Some with family - some with friends, Erica Park and Jeff Merrell. (She'll put more on her blog someday).

Honeyville 3rd Ward Seminary Graduates.

Nappy in her "Birthday Bowl Chair" from her sisters and brothers in law (and Lucas)! She loves it. She has to fight Lucas for it when he comes to visit.
