That means it's COLD! (not Bear River)
Let me just say I don't enjoy being COLD! We just sat through a very COLD softball game! Not only was I FREEZING but it was kind of a boring game. We played Ben Lomond and won 9-1. I don't think the girls were into the game much either! Nappy did okay but her shoulder is hurting her. She didn't hit like she usually does. Spring sports is always so unpredictable with the weather. Hopefully it will warm back up next week.
Mark is healing nicely from his surgery. He's done very well.
Sheridan, Torrie and their kids will be here tomorrow. We're so excited to see them again. They live way too far away!

Ball, Ball and More Ball!
We went to St. George last Thursday for a Softball Tournament. It was great weather - actually on the chilly side - but we saw lots of sun! The girls did really well - they won 4 and lost 1. Jess played very well and did a great job taking care of 1st base. They had an exciting game against Dixie. We were down 1-9 and came back to win 10-9! So fun! (Read more about it on Katie's blog. - She has better pictures too). We picked up Lucas on our way down. Jed and Katie came down later. They stayed with his parents who live down there. We went to dinner Sat. night with all of them.
On our way back Sunday we stopped at Landon and Tawnya's and had dinner with them. It was yummy! Thanks kids.
Mark had surgery today for another hernia (6th one!) Hopefully this will be his last. He now has mesh on both sides. We were there at 8:45 -went in to surgery at 10:00 and came home at noon! He's feeling pretty good tonight. Just a little sore.

SOFTBALL BEGINS
Awesome at 1st base . Ready to take the field!
Softball season has finally started! It's so nice to watch Nappy play ball again. She had a great game the other day at Bonneville - a triple, two doubles, and a single with some RBI's!
We head to St. George tomorrow for a tournament. It'll be great fun with wonderful weather! We'll pick up Lucas on our way then Katie and Jed will come later that evening.

PROMONTORY, UTAH
Today we went to a Nicholas Family Reunion out at Promontory. They decided to have it there since that's where the Nicholas Roots began! It was held at the little church (which could be on "Little House on the Prairie"). There were about 80 people that came. We took Grams and Gramps out with us and he reminisced the whole way out. I wish we would have had a tape recorder. It was fun to hear about his life way back when! He and Mark are standing in front of the house that he grew up in. It's changed quite a bit from the time he lived there! The picture of the ladies are Aunt Eileen, Aunt Janice and Grandma Nicholas.

Fun Times!
Girls with Grams (87) and Gramps (93) Nic.
Busy sewing darling bags! (Notice Tawnya is nowhere near the machine!)
Last week we had such a good time! Shara came "home" for about a week. We did a few projects making diaper bags/Primary bags, and baby blankets. Shara's baby better be a girl! We did pink! It's always so fun to have them all together again. I felt like a mother hen with all her baby chicks! A big THANKS to their good husbands who let them come. Jed and Landon came up Saturday. AC was the only one not here - we sure missed him.
Shara read lots of stories to Lucas and usually ended up putting him to sleep! It ended up being such nice weather. He loved to be outside and RUN.
Our house was sure quiet Tuesday when everyone left! I always go through withdrawals for a few days. We miss you all and love you tons! Can't wait until Christmas!

Mesa - March 2007
My trip to Mesa was wonderful! Such beautifiul weather this time of year down there. It was a little chilly in the evenings but so nice.
My mom and dad are doing quite well. A year ago we didn't know if my dad was going to be with us much longer after he had a stroke but he is doing MUCH better. I wish I could see them more often. They are such great parents and grandparents. Thanks Mom and Dad for all you do for us! We love you so much.
I was also able to spend some time with my sisters Nyla and Jeanie. Nyla came down Friday morning and stayed until Monday. We went shopping for baby material and book shopping with Jeanie. Thanks for the books Jeanie! I have such awesome sisters. We have a lot of fun when we get together.
Nyla's daughter, Marsha, blessed their baby on Sunday so I was able to see most of their family. Their own little families are all growing so fast! (See picture above)

Happy Birthday Tawnya!
Happy Birthday Tawnya ! It's hard to believe you're 21 years old! We hope you had a great day! You're an awesome daughter and we love you lots. Can't wait to see you in a few days.
I got back from warm and sunny Mesa today. I had a great time visiting with my mom and dad and sisters. I got to see quite a few nieces and nephews this trip also which was very nice.
Now I have to get back to work. Shara comes this week and we can't wait to see her.
