Happy Birthday Mark! I can't believe he's 50 years old! (He can't either!) This is him relaxing on our new couch. I told him I needed a picture of it to post on my blog! He just happened to be on it.
He is such a great person. He is very talented and quiet and patient. He had four daughters so he had to be! I had a lady ask me just today if Mark is always quiet! I said yes - that's why I talk so much!
He keeps his priorities straight and has kept our family on track of where we want to be and hopefully end up!
Another friend asked me to ask Mark where to find a certain scripture. Everyone knows how important they are to him and that he knows where to find them! He has been blessed with a very good memory!
He is such a great husband, dad, and grandpa.
Have a very happy birthday - love you lots!

Annoying Noseeums
It's that lovely time of year that the lovely little noseeum gnats come out! They are so annoying! They get in your hair, ears, eyes, nose, etc. and bite the heck out of you! You can't be outside more than a minute unless it's windy, cloudy or dark! They last for about two weeks and then they're gone. Lucas wanted to be outside but would start scratching his head after about a minute! I don't think he knew what was eating him up!
Our nephew Kellen got married Saturday so the kids (Jed, Katie , Lucas, Landon and Tawnya) came up for that. After the wedding we went to El Parral (one of our favorites in Tremonton) to eat. We decided to celebrate Mark's birthday a little early (it's tomorrow - the 30th). Grace and Jim, Grams and Gramps, Nancy, Chris and Melissa and kids all came with us.
Lucas woke up with no voice this morning so Katie kept him home from church. He sounded so cute with his "croaky" voice. We had birthday cake (Raspberry Bars) and ice cream before they left to go home this evening. It's always so fun to see our kids. We are looking so forward to out trip to Boston to see AC and Shara in a month!

Quilts, and More Quilts!
These are the latest projects I've taken on! The senior girls on the softball team always get a nice gift at the end of the year. My suggestion was a nice quilt - so I "volunteered" to see that they get done! We're doing their favorite color so two want pink and two want blue. (I had to go to 3 different Walmarts to find the fabric - I wanted them to be all the same print and finally found it). The blue is actually about this color - maybe a little darker. I have one blue and one pink done so far. I had some moms, friends, and family help me last Friday. (Thanks Debbie and Lisa!) I was a little stressed by the time we got them done that night. I don't think I'll put two on at the same time again!
Yesterday I went to two wedding showers, a wedding reception and a wedding dinner! Crazy! Kellen (our nephew) is getting married next weekend to Lindsay Olsen. Mark and Boyd did a pit barbeque with the meat. The turkey was done but the beef didn't quite get all the way done this time. It just had to cook a while longer in the roaster pans at the church. It all turned out very nice in the end.

Busy Weekend
We had kind of a busy weekend - although it was nice to spend most of the day at home on Saturday doing what needed done. Friday was a softball game in Tooele - it is clear the heck out there! (and we lost so it wasn't worth the trip!!) I can't believe how much Tooele has grown from the first time I went there. It will be a 4A school next year. I talked to one of the volleyball coaches and she said there are 300 more Freshmen next year than the Senior class has this year! They have already started building another High School. (aren't you glad you know all about Tooele now!) We go to Grantsville (right next to Tooele) Monday - our last trip out there - yeah!!!!
Saturday morning Mark and I went to the temple. We've decided that's the best time to go. The weeks fill up with ballgames, meetings, etc. It was nice to go as always. Such a beautiful place to be!
I went up to Super Saturday as soon as I got home to do my "project". I did 3 magnet tiles that took about 2 minutes to do! I love those kind of projects! They say Live, Laugh and Love - good words to live by. I actually went for the food - I was hungry!!
We worked in the yard the rest of the day - burning leaves, limbs, etc.. We all smelled like smoke. We still have lots to do but it'll be there tomorrow!
I better go get ready for church - I piddle around all morning and then I have to hurry!

Lucas' Jungle Quilt
I finally got Lucas' quilt on! (I had to take a picture to show Katie that I am really working on it). Melanie came down and helped me put it on. They are so cute and I can't wait to get it off and bound. It pretty much takes up the whole living room now that we have two more La-Z-Boy chairs. I might have to start putting them on outside!!

Easter Fun
Playing ball with Grandpa while the girls color eggs!
Easter Bunny Stuff! (The Easter Bunny has always come to our house on Saturday instead of Sunday)
Lucas and his new back pack - (notice the boots!)
(Oops - don't know how to get it off!)
I told him to hide the eggs - so he dumped them all in one place!
We had such a fun Easter weekend. I went down to get Katie and Lucas on Wednesday. I stayed the night and we came back Thursday. Katie found some "Jungle" material to make bedspreads for the crib and Lucas' bed. I made the curtains and crib skirt. She pieced the bedspreads together and sewed them. We almost got done but not quite. I have to tie one this week. Jed and Tawnya (they came up Friday after work) were sick of us sewing so we had to stop!
We took Lucas to the Honeyville Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning which he could have cared less about! We tried to "practice" finding eggs before we went. He just liked the playground toys. The girls colored eggs - which are still in my fridge - and then we went to Cooks for a BBQ.

Ironing?
California Kids
Our "California Kids" were here this past weekend. Sheridan, Torrie and their kids, Gracie Madeline, and Cole came for a little visit. It was so good to see them again. We love having them come and are always sad to see them go. We liked it better when they lived in Logan! It wasn't a very long visit this time but we sure enjoyed seeing them. Their kids are growing so fast! Gracie is 7, Maddie 4 and Cole almost 2 with another boy on the way. As you can see from the pictures they have darling kids.
We had Grams and Gramps Nicholas over for Sunday dinner between conference sessions. Some decided to "nap" during conference. I love conference Sundays!
